MGX Minerals Engages Moose Mountain Technical Services to Complete Mine Plan for Driftwood Creek Magnesite Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – October 28, 2014 - MGX Minerals Inc. (“MGX” or the “Company”) (CSE: XMG) is pleased to announce the engagement of Moose Mountain Technical Services Ltd. (“MMTS”) of Cranbrook, B.C. to coordinate and prepare an application for a Mine and Reclamation Permit under the British Columbia Mines Act for the Company’s Driftwood Creek magnesite project (the “Project”).

Work by MMTS will be conducted under the supervision of Roger Berdusco. Mr. Berdusco has over 35 years of industry experience with a focus on environmental, permitting, regulatory and community affairs. Mr. Berdusco previously spent over 30 years at Teck Resources Ltd. and has been recognized on many occasions for his excellence in environmental management at provincial and federal levels.

"Our initial research of regulatory requirements indicates that the Project, as defined, would not trigger an Environmental Assessment under the B.C. Environmental Assessment Act, or the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, if magnesite production was equal to or less than 250,000 tonnes annually," stated Mr. Berdusco. "It would follow that a Mine and Reclamation Permit application could be submitted under the requirements of the Mines Act of BC, and any necessary ancillary permits required for water, air or waste disposal could be applied for under the Environmental Management Act."

Added MGX President and CEO Jared Lazerson: "We are excited to welcome MMTS to the MGX Minerals team. MGX holds full confidence that MMTS will be able to leverage the overwhelming environmental positives of industrial mineral production, specifically magnesite mining and subsequent magnesium oxide (MgO) production, which traditionally include little or no tailings and acid rock drainage. We believe this is the future of safe and sustainable mining in British Columbia and that no one that understands how to execute this better than MMTS due to their vast experience and local knowledge of southwestern British Columbia."

Mobilization plans are underway and relevant work site is expected to commence next week (November 3rd). MGX will continue to update shareholders as progress is made at Driftwood Creek.
